Gus Palas is an experienced media professional, promoter and event manager. He moved to Lakeland, FL in 1998 after 13 years in The Nashville Music Community. During that time he founded and Publisher of The Metro Music Monthly Magazine, 1985-92, the founder and producer of the Nashville Music Awards,1989-1991, and the owner of The Cannery Entertainment Complex, 1992-98. He served on the board of Directors of both The Visual Artists Alliance of Nashville and the South African Freedom Education Group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Downtown Lakeland Partnership and on the Board of The Imperial Polk Advertising Federation. He
was named the 2004 and 2005 Advertisning Man of the Year by the IPAF.
Lisa L. Palas is also a respected industry professional having served as the senior event producer with The Lakeland Center from 1998 until 2005. Lisa co-owned the Cannery Complex, co-founded and produced the Nashville Music Awards and was Publisher of the Metro Magazine 1989-1992.
Gus and his wife Lisa recently celebrated thier 20th Anniversary. They also currently own a 210 City Club in Laklenad, FL.
